Ka’anapali Kai Course

If you’re looking for a course that’s easy-going, fun and scenic, then look no further than this highly accessible course. The 18-holes were originally designed to be over 6,388 yards by architect Arthur Jack Snyder back in 1967. Since then, the course has undergone major renovations and was re-designed by architect Robin Nelson in 2005.

While the terrain is similar to that of its neighbor course, the Royal Ka’anapali, it has gentle slopes that run both upwards and downwards on the fairways. The Ka’anapali Kai course offers an easier playing field for golfers of all levels. Set along the western coast of the island, this course presents outstanding views of the Pacific Ocean with the neighboring islands of Molokai and Lanai in the background.

Blue Course at Wailea Golf Club

The Blue Course is one of three exceptional golf courses at the Wailea Golf Club. The traditional resort course was designed by Arthur Jack Snyder, and was the first course built at this club back in 1972. Similar to Royal Ka’anapali in size, the Blue Course stretches to a length of 6,765 yards, offering 18 holes.

As it sits at the foothills of Mt. Haleakala, a 10,000 ft. dormant volcano situated at the center of the island, the course has the benefit of being shielded from pesky high winds. Blue Course offers beautiful ocean views along every swing, and its picturesque landscape boasts lovely lakes, classic coral sand bunkers, and the remarkable sights of Mt. Haleakala, the West Maui Mountains and Ma’alaea Bay. With three boxes at every tee for players of all skill levels as well as forgiving fairways along the length of the course, the Blue Course at Wailea Golf Club is sure to be an enjoyable time for even the novice golfer.

Royal Ka’anapali Golf Course at the Ka’anapali Resort

Designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., Royal Ka’anapali has been a Maui mainstay since it first opened in 1962. This exquisite 18-hole course runs about 6,700 yards, stretching along the western coastline at sea level before winding its way to the foothills of the West Maui Mountains.

True to his nature, Jones created a course that has both wide fairways and rolling greens that accent the views of the Pacific and the West Maui Mountains. This par 71 course has played host to a number of championship events including the Champions TOUR Kaanapali Classic and LPGA Kemper Cup — and although it provides a worthy test of championship-style golf, it isn’t so hard that it will ruin anyone’s vacation. With a prime location just outside the historic port town of Lahaina, guests will find easy access to restaurants and shopping after enjoying a round on the greens.
